Photoshop 1

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN ONLINE CLASS

Adobe Photoshop is the essential software tool used in the film, television, and game industry for use in everything from pre-production and visualization to post.

This introductory class explores fundamental skills such as working with layers, editable adjustment layers, mastering selection and masking, use of channels, and layer masks. Other topics we will cover include: simple color corrections, image manipulation, retouching and restoration techniques, and use of the Wacom tablet.

Introduction to Photoshop is a must for the industry pro who wants to make Photoshop a bigger part of their workflow. Photoshop gives those working with 2D and 3D programs the flexibility to add creative and artistic elements, and special effects with ease.

Prerequisite: This program is for Mac or PC. If using a laptop, it is recommended that you have a 2nd monitor, a full keyboard and a 3-button mouse (with scroll wheel) to more easily work with the software. It is also good to have a working knowledge of saving files on the computer and familiarity with other programs. Students are responsible for having their own copy of this software loaded on their machine.
