Watercolor Painting with Alina Chau

Watercolor is a fun and dynamic medium that tends to be misunderstood as one of the most challenging painting mediums to control. That is - until now!

This Watercolor "Lunch and Learn" is an introductory level class that will unlock the mystery behind this classic medium. In this class, students will learn about the nature of different paper materials, brushes and practical techniques that students can apply to create quick concept sketches to elaborate polished painting.

Well-known illustrator Alina Chau will share approachable tips and tricks for students to integrate into their existing skill sets and expand their visual style for a broader range of art forms - from animation to commercial illustration to fine art.

Prerequisite: While instruction is conducted online, students should bring watercolor supplies to class to get an active, hands-on experience. For students who do not own watercolor supplies, below are Alina's suggestions for art supplies to have on hand:

Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor 12 Half Pans sets
Princeton Real Value Brush Set - 9121, Synthetic Pony, Short Handle, Set of 4
