Employment Training Panel (ETP)

ETP is a California State agency that funds training to meet the needs of California companies and their employees who are challenged by out-of-state competition. Funds allotted are intended for retraining incumbent, frontline workers of California companies in order that they maintain gainful, long-term employment. Those eligible can train at Studio Arts through our collaborative with the UAW - Labor Employment Training Corporation.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ETP TRAINING AT STUDIO ARTS:

  • You must be working full-time (minimum of 35 hours per week) for a participating employer
  • You must earn a minimum of $14.87 per hour
  • You must have worked a minimum of 90 days following the end of training for the participating employer or for another qualifying employer.
  • You must commit to a minimum of 24 hours but no more than 200 hours of training.
  • You must not be an active trainee on any other ETP contract (e.g. Gnomon or Moviola, for at least 90 days prior to commencing your training at Studio Arts.)

PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS:

The following companies qualify for and receive ETP training for their employees at Studio Arts:

Asylum Visual Effects, Cartoon Network, Film Roman, Fox Animation, Fox Digital, Fox Network Group, Gentle Giant Studios and Rhythm & Hues.

If your company is on the employer list above, click on the ETP Form button below. Download, complete and return this form to Studio Arts along with your class registration form.

If your company is NOT on the list above but interested in ETP, they must FIRST download, complete and return the Company Form below to Studio Arts. Once approved, your company and its employees who meet the minimum requirements above can begin training at Studio Arts.
