Digital Painting With Photoshop is a project-based class intended to provide students with real world approaches for creating Photoshop paintings in a production environment.

Topics covered will include: Converting a scanned layout drawing into a line only layer - Structuring the painting in a logical "back to front" manner - Using the keyboard commands and hot keys to streamline workflow - Building custom brushes and organizing them into brush sets that can be imported and exported for use - Using the Tool palette to create brushes that have more settings define - Grouping layers into subsets that can create different lighting and coloristic effects - Using color and lighting to help the painting better tell the story.

Other topics include working with extensive custom brush libraries and detailed PDFs on: Scanning, drawing transfer, grouping layers, important keyboard shortcuts and hot keys, and various approaches to using paths.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of Photoshop.
